So here’s my Showreel of my final Maya animations! I’m happy enough with the results and now can happily say I have a better understanding on how to animate because of this course. I look forward to the next semester!
So now that this semester’s over, looking back on it i’m happy with how far i’ve come and how much my work has progressed since then. Although i’m not great at animating just yet I have learned a lot not only from the lecturer but also from my peers. One thing I would say that i’m fairly confident in now because of this module is 3D modelling. I started off woth sculprtis but after Alec showed us the toolkit option in Maya I got much better at it. I even began to apply what I had learned about animating and 3D modelling to the creative elements module. Making small animations for it so this course has been hugely beneficial! The module has also changed the way I look at animated films, I look at them with a lot more observation and how they convey the use of the 12 principles. I also got to read “The Illusion of Life” which is a great read and really helped me get a better understanding of the principles.
In conclusion I learned a lot this semester, made much more friends because of it and I look forward to developing my skills in Maya in the following semester!
